The pubs are open again!

After a long break pubs and cafes are opening up in and around Bridport again. Many pubs and cafes are still offering takeaway service, but there are plenty of places that offer a table service experience (mostly outside).

We are very fortunate to have two pubs located within a walkable distance that are open. We would advise booking in advance especially at the weekend or if the weather is nice. A map of both routes can be found at the bottom of the page.

  3. Follow the path across the field to the gate in the middle. Continue on the path straight.
  4. Go over the stile into the neighbouring field (please be aware cows are sometimes in this field). Continue straight- go over the stile, following the footpath with a farm on your right.
  5. When you reach the end of the footpath (a road in front of you), go over the stile and turn right. Immediately then turn left up Pymore Road.
  6. Continue walking on this road for a few hundred meters. The Pymore Inn is the pub on your left.

The Hare & Hounds- blue route on map

For website click here

Distance: 1.5 miles

Time: 45 mins (Approx.)

Seating: Outside and limited seating inside

Route:

  1. Walk up main Binghams Farm drive- taking the first right turning down a track. Go through the first gate and follow the track around, going through a second gate that leads to the right.
  2. Follow the path directly down the middle of the field. At the bottom of the field go through the gate and turn right (towards the caravan park)
  3. Turn left down the path just before the gate to go into the caravan park- towards the river.
  4. Go through the gate and across the bridge, following the path to the right. Continue on this path for the next couple of fields- going through the gates and stiles.
  5. Follow the path straight through a small lawn field. Cross over the stile into the next field (please be aware cows are sometimes in this field). Follow the path to another stile attached to a small bridge. Go over this and continue straight. Go over the next stile- continuing on the path. The bridge to the next field is currently broken so you will need to jump across a small ditch.
  6. Continue straight following the path through the field. Go through a gate to the next field- following the path on the left up a small hill (please be aware sheep are sometimes in this field). Continue on this path- going down the hill to a final stile before the road.
  7. At the road turn left up the hill. Continue on this road until you meet a cross roads. At this point turn right. Follow this road until you reach the pub on your right.
